Dear Ben Gabriel; Director of Training,

My prep training for the ATP check ride at ATP has gone extremely well,
and the quality and patience of your instructors has exceeded all of my
expectations. My instructor at your Indianapolis location was Steven
Meech.  He has put in a lot of extra time, and been very flexible in
preparing me for my check ride. He is also an extremely competent
instrument pilot in his own right, which is exactly what you would
expect of an instructor of this caliber. He made sure that we covered
all of our bases, and that I would be well prepared to fly with the
examiner.

I felt that with his extra time; I learned more in less time than I
normally would have in the part 61 environment that I am more familiar
with. During the training we even managed to uncover and correct some
of my old habits and IFR skills; because of this I feel that I am now a
better and more competent pilot.

Although I did initially fail the check ride it was because I rushed to
get done with the last approach; which may be confirmed through
the examiner, and due in no part to a lack of preparedness or flying
skill. In other words I was more than adequately prepared for the ride
by the training that I received.
